IATEFL stands for the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language. Their mission is to link, develop and support English Language Teaching professionals throughout the world. One of the ways this is done is by holding an Annual International Conference with an extensive programme of talks and workshops, which attracts over 1,400 delegates. Their 2010 conference is currently being held at Harrogate, and for those of us who cannot travel there, a website has been created where we can follow all session updates as well as listen to the most salient speakers.
